Our brief was to design a calorie and nutrient tracking application with the core usp being an UPC/ UPC-E barcode scanner making use of the iPhone's integrated camera. A first for the UK!
QuickkaCalories comes in three flavours - PRO containing the scanner, Calories (a cheaper standard version which has the core functionality without scanner) and a free taster app Weight Mate. The design is fresh and the app is packed with additional functionality - BMI info, reports, charts, targets, the EatWell Plate (tm) and even a basic exercise tracker. Through our partners Quickka also accumulated over 20,000 country specifc common product barcodes and 7000 generic food items.
Next for QuickkaCalories is a web version to enable our users to sync and access their info online.
